Yaminette has always impressed me with her kindness, and incredible insight into several topic areas. Being able to see her in her element with HR was inspiring. In terms of her teaching, she went above and beyond. She made recommendations for me and my partner that significantly improved our understanding of the subject matter. She is also incredibly skilled at facilitating in a classroom. Overall, a true joy to learn this semester.
Throughout the course, I appreciated Yaminette's informed and thoughtful remarks. I feel like this class benefited a lot from her research and experience in the field. In particular, I have felt that I can reach out to Yaminette and ask for help with assignments. She responded in timely manner with very helpful feedback.

Yaminette is such an incredible asset in the classroom. I hope she becomes a professor in her own right…She's not just great at providing thought–provoking insight (she is such a resource for workplace inclusion it's incredible– I hope to keep annoying her with questions for years to come), but she's just genuinely so warm and welcoming.
She is really helpful at explaining concepts and complimenting the material with other examples to help explain concepts. The days she lectured were also really great and she is a wonderful teacher!

Yaminette is passionate, and cares about everyone's input, and this is reflected in her facilitation of discussion. She makes me feel welcome and more confident in sharing my opinions, and like my input is valid and important.
Yaminette is AMAZING. She radiates a warmth to all students, even when challenging us to be uncomfortable during difficult class discussions. She is always so prepared and organized and is a great resource for students.

She helps interpret assignments and instructions, as well as effectively leads class discussions.
Her knowledge on the topics of health care management brought value to the course. She's also really easy to talk to which made approaching her for difficult conversations really easy.

Effectiveness:
4.7/5
Comments:
She invests a good deal of time in what she's prepared for the class, is thoughtful in her written comments on papers, and is patient and timely in responding to student questions. She made me feel like I had a safety net jumping into this first semester of PhD classes.
She made effective use of her time with students by providing clarity on class work, giving extra support with class discussion, and sharing her perspective.
